Setting-out
Ceiling centres and bay geometry transferred from coordinated reflected ceiling information.
Case study · Suspended systems
A feature ceiling package installed below dense services using coordinated suspension points, support bridges and controlled baffle alignment.

The challenge
The visible baffle layout needed to remain regular even where the most direct suspension points were obstructed by building services.
I&O set out the approved ceiling geometry, checked structural fixing positions and coordinated the support arrangement around ventilation, containment, lighting and sprinklers. Where the design required it, unistrut bridges and threaded rod created stable suspension positions without losing the intended centres below.
Baffles were assembled, lifted and adjusted in a controlled sequence, with the final height, spacing and line checked across each bay.
Ceiling centres and bay geometry transferred from coordinated reflected ceiling information.
Approved anchors installed to the nominated structure with drilling controls and access planning.
Unistrut and threaded-rod supports used where required by the coordinated design.
Components prepared and assembled in practical work zones before lifting.
Each baffle or module connected to the specified suspension system and adjusted to level.
Spacing, height and visual lines checked against lighting and surrounding architectural features.

Completed result
The finished baffle centres followed the approved architectural layout.
Supports and lifting were coordinated around existing installations and access constraints.
Height, orientation and spacing were adjusted through the final installation sequence.
Visible lines and outstanding items were checked before handover.
